The Guadalajara metropolitan area has a reported population of 5,002,466 inhabitants, making it the second most populous metropolitan area in Mexico, behind Mexico City.
Monterrey is the capital and largest city of the northeastern state of Nuevo León, Mexico.The city is anchor to the Monterrey metropolitan area, the second most productive in Mexico with a GDP of US$ 123 billion and the third largest with an estimated population of 4,689,601 people. Monterrey serves as a commercial center of northern Mexico and is the base of many significant international corporations. Rich in history and culture, it is one of the most developed cities in Mexico and is often regarded as its most “Americanized”.
Mexico City is the densely populated, high-altitude capital of Mexico. It’s known for its Templo Mayor (a 13th-century Aztec temple), the baroque Catedral Metropolitana de México of the Spanish conquistadors and the Palacio Nacional, which houses historic murals by Diego Rivera. All of these are situated in and around the Plaza de la Constitución, the massive main square also known as the Zócalo.
